Getting to Lappeenranta

Lappeenranta is easily accessible by train, bus, plane or car. Nestled on the shores of Lake Saimaa, Lappeenranta is only 215 kilometres from Helsinki and 195 kilometres from St. Petersburg. The ride from Helsinki, by main Road 6, takes a little under three hours.

By Train

You can get to Lappeenranta from Helsinki, by train, in approximately two hours. There are several daily connections between Helsinki and Lappeenranta plus various other cities in Finland.

Russian destinations, such as Vyborg, St. Petersburg, Tver and Moscow, are within easy reach from Lappeenranta. The superfast Allegro train takes you from Vainikkala station in Lappeenranta to St. Petersburg in 1.5 hours.
